Virtual Planning Seminar
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BLOOMFIELD PUBLIC LIBRARY
Do you get overwhelmed when thinking about death or funeral planning? It's completely normal to feel uneasy when faced with topics or processes you aren't familiar with. Despite death being the one thing we all have in common; we almost never engage in conversation about it. Funeral planning should be done ahead of time - logically, not emotionally. Let Smart Funeral Planning's educational program help you confront, explore, and prepare for death so you can get back to living life.
Since becoming a Licensed Funeral Director in April 2016, Sahara has received certification as a Funeral Celebrant and has obtained her Connecticut Insurance License to practice as an Advanced Planning Specialist. In 2021 Sahara founded Smart Funeral Planning, a service that allows individuals the opportunity to explore their options, easily compare local providers, and ensure their plan meets their needs, as well as their budget. Sahara participates in many events and activities including ‘Death Cafes’ and ‘Funeral Planning Parties’ all across Connecticut to expand awareness and provide comfort to those in need. She is on the board of the Connecticut Green Burial Grounds and wishes to have a green burial for herself when that day inevitably arrives. Sahara and her husband live in Weston with their 2 daughters.
You must provide your email address at registration to receive the Zoom link. Your Registration Confirmation Notice includes the Zoom link for the program. No computer/internet at home? Call the Library for the phone number, meeting ID & password and join us over the phone.
